Monastrell Spain wines have made a strong impression at the 2026 Spring Tasting, securing medals for all ten entries submitted to one of the leading competitions in the Global Wine Masters programme.
Held in London on 18 February, the competition brought together a panel of leading wine judges for a rigorous blind tasting. Entries were awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze medals according to their scores, with the highest-rated wines eligible for the Spring Tasting Master and Grand Master distinctions.
Monastrell Spain’s results were particularly impressive, with all ten wines receiving an award. The haul comprised two Gold medals, four Silver and four Bronze, underlining the quality and growing international profile of wines made from the Monastrell grape variety.
The winning wines came from wineries within the Alicante, Almansa, Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla Designations of Origin.
