Monastrell Spain continues its international promotional efforts in the United Kingdom. On Monday, 13 October 2025, industry professionals will have the opportunity to attend the “Monastrell Spain Masterclass – Discover Monastrell in Manchester”, led by the prestigious Master of Wine, Patrick Schmitt MW.

The masterclass will take place at the People’s History Museum, Manchester, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, offering a unique occasion to deepen knowledge on international expansion, market positioning, and the sensory identity of Monastrell.

During the session, 11 carefully selected wine references from the five Denominations of Origin represented by Monastrell Spain will be presented: Alicante, Almansa, Bullas, Jumilla, and Yecla.

The wines to be tasted are:

Botellas de vino monastrell

Following the masterclass, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, an open tasting will be held in an exclusive hall at the People’s History Museum, featuring 40 wines. This will allow attendees to explore the diversity of styles, the influence of terroir, and the commercial potential of wines from our five DOs, as well as to interact directly with representatives from each Denomination of Origin.

This experience has been designed for those seeking to understand both the current status and future prospects of Monastrell in the international market.

Monastrell Spain continues to consolidate the United Kingdom as a strategic market and reinforces its commitment to promoting this Mediterranean grape variety through educational and experiential initiatives aimed at sommeliers, trade press, and wine professionals. This masterclass represents a must-attend event to discover the uniqueness of Monastrell and the richness of south-eastern Spain.

Do not miss it!
